David Feng is not just a Mac and media guy, but also has interests in what he calls "other projects". These projects aren't the newest fad or the latest trends, but projects which are original and innovative. His current non-Mac and non-media projects include:

• Beijingology: Beijingology is a wiki, audiovisual content, a travel guide, and a blog, all about the Chinese capital, Beijing. Too often, we see either the classic Lonely Planet description of Beijing or a government version. While there's nothing wrong with these, the view is still not complete. Beijingology is the third eye — the third viewpoint — presenting Beijing the way it is — by the people. At present, the project has over 1,100 articles in English and is best-known for its attention to details and accuracy.

From 2000 through to 2004, David Feng taught English at elementary, secondary and vocational high schools, as well as in universities, and has also taught one-on-one. In 2007, David obtained a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate.
