19. Showcasing China’s Province of 2022 on Regent Street: 2015

David co-hosted the opening ceremony of the Beautiful Hebei arts exhibition. Held at the prestigious Fyvie Hall right off the university’s Regent Street campus, this event was held exactly three months after Beijing and Zhangjiakou won the right to host the 2022 Winter Olympics (which happened on 31 July 2015).

The Beautiful Hebei arts exhibition was one of the more “cultural” events the China Media Centre co-organised. It drew an audience of over 200 which in essence packed the entire Fyvie Hall, and also featured performances from performers from both China and the UK.

The event was a huge success, and it was Hebei’s “coming-out event” in London, three months after snatching victory and gaining the right to host the 2022 Winter Olympics. It also cemented David’s role as an increasingly active member of London’s Chinese community.

19. 2015 年：把中国 2022 年的故事提前“秀”给伦敦摄政街看

2015 年 7 月 31 日，北京和张家口联合获得 2022 年冬季奥运会的举办权。不到三个月之后，中国的冬奥故事讲到英国伦敦，也讲到位于摄政街的威斯敏斯特大学主校区法伊维尔大厅。

《美丽河北》画展为威斯敏斯特大学中国传媒中心和其它单位联合举办的一次文化活动。开幕式除了各位领导和嘉宾致辞外，还有各种文艺表演，包括来自中国和当地英国的各类表演。

本次活动举办的非常顺利，也让更多人了解到中国河北省和京张 2022 年冬奥会。作为活动的主持人，本次活动也让冯琰更加深度参加进英国当地华人圈里。
