4. At the Controls, Broadcasting for All: Beginnings in Radio, 2004

Fresh from hosting a series of highly successful events in late 2003, David started his career in radio by reporting the news in English on 05 March 2004.

He would also continue to host music shows on the same radio studio, which would typically be broadcast in the evening hours. At times, he also tried his hand on a little bit of Mandarin Chinese broadcasting. He remained in the radio world through to his departure for London in 2014.

Increasingly visible on campus, David topped off his public appearances by hosting a university fashion show in front of thousands on 16 April 2004. A successful graduation a few months later would see him continue his studies, now at the Communication University of China, in media presenting and linguistics.

4. 2004 年起: 开播! 正式进入电台界和媒体界

在圆满主持 2003 年多次活动后，冯琰经推荐，于 2004 年 3 月 5 日起在对外经贸大学广播台开始用英文播送新闻，并还担当英文音乐节目的主持人。

参加这些节目，就等于参加电台工作，一参加就是参加了 10 年，直到 2014 年去往英国伦敦前，冯琰每一年都有电台节目，无论是以主持人、嘉宾主持、特邀嘉宾还是其它身份。他做过现场直播、活动现场直播，以及多次录播节目，经历十分丰富。

在大学读本科时，他深化了他的主持经历，并于 2004 年 4 月 16 日在上千人前主持由英语学院的主办的服装秀。他带着丰富的经验，于 2004 年 9 月顺利进入中国传媒大学，在播音主持艺术学院开始攻读新的课程，包括语言学及应用语言学节目。
